Eva has more than 15 years of experience in the social services field. Eva first began her carrier in 1999 where she worked for a span of five years at another foster family agency in Long Beach, CA. She was quickly able to demonstrate so many strengths in her ability to work in a system driven by bureaucratic needs while serving the children and families without missing a step. What was once an entry level clerical position for Eva has developed into one of the largest motivating forces in her life. Eva has been with Families Uniting Families since the beginning. She is currently the Intake Coordinator and Foster Parent Liaison. Eva also facilitates in the Project Fatherhood program. She has had the opportunity to co-facilitate in the children’s group, significant other’s group and as well as in the father’s group through the Project Fatherhood program, a model developed to promote the positive involvement of fathers in the lives of children. Eva brings strong effective communication, negotiation, empathic responses, and confrontation skills that have enabled her to effectively complete her tasks within the agency. Having the opportunity to work side-by-side with social workers and assisting in the completion of assessments. Eva was certified as a facilitator by the late Dr. Hershel Swinger in Project Fatherhood model. Likewise, she was certified as a trainer by Strategies in the 32 hour Evidenced Based Practice, Supporting Father’s Involvement (SFI). Eva holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Services from California State University, Dominguez Hills (2014).
