Julia joined Families Uniting Families in May of 2014 after having completed a one year internship practicum there. For the past 6 ½ years, Julia served as a Caseworker at Boys Republic where she had the opportunity to work with probation youth (male and female) in placement and day treatment settings. She also tutored high-risk youth for Soledad Enrichment Action (S.E.A.) in Pomona, CA. With a concentration in Psychology and Criminology, Julia received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of La Verne in 2007. Julia also received a Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University Long Beach in 2014. Julia believes, “Working as a Social Worker for Families Uniting Families has been a great experience thus far and I am honored to have the opportunity to service children, youth and families and to be surrounded by supportive colleagues who also care about the safety, permanency and well-being of the clients we serve.”
